What to Expect
A word about worship “style”: At FSBC, we are less interested in what people wear or how our music sounds or what kind of music we sing on any given Sunday. We are more interested in worshipping God through our service. Too often today, people choose a church based on its music program or on how people dress. We are here to serve the Lord, to worship Him, to open His Word and to apply it to our lives as we strive to become more like Christ each and every day. We are neither fundamental nor are we modern. We are not traditional nor are we contemporary. We are a local body of Christ running the race set forth before us, striving to lift up and encourage one another in Christ. You will be welcomed and loved here as a family member and a fellow pilgrim.
FSBC promotes a casual, relaxed atmosphere for those in attendance. Our services are somewhat informal as we are a family and enjoy worshipping God in spirit and in truth.
Music: Our music is a balanced mix of traditional hymns and more recent compositions and this varies week-by-week. Occasionally a soloist or small group will prepare and perform a special music selection.
Attire: Men are commonly found in slacks or jeans with a polo-style or t-shirt or a sweater during cooler weather. The ladies are comfortable in skirts or pants and an accompanying top according to the weather. Kids are mostly dressed in jeans or appropriate-length shorts and t-shirts.
Service: Typically, our service consists of greetings, music and announcements, scripture reading and a message by one of the pastors.
